Malignant Neoplasm of Bone

Cancerous bone tumors - primary (osteosarcoma, Ewing's sarcoma, chondrosarcoma) or metastatic from other cancers. Causes bone pain, swelling, pathological fractures. Primary bone cancer more common in young adults; metastatic more common in older adults. Treatment includes surgery (often amputation or limb-sparing resection), chemotherapy, radiation.

Active malignant bone tumor, or during treatment phase (surgery, chemotherapy, radiation), or for 6 months after treatment completion. Then re-evaluate based on residuals, recurrence, or metastases.
