Compression of the median nerve as it passes through the carpal tunnel in the wrist, causing pain, numbness, and tingling in the hand and fingers. Symptoms often include nighttime numbness, weakness in grip strength, and difficulty with fine motor tasks. 50%

Severe incomplete paralysis of the median nerve (either hand). Marked sensory loss, significant muscle atrophy (thenar eminence), severe weakness affecting most hand functions.

Moderate incomplete paralysis of the median nerve (major/dominant hand). Significant sensory loss, moderate weakness affecting daily activities, difficulty with fine motor tasks.

Moderate incomplete paralysis of the median nerve (minor/non-dominant hand). Persistent numbness and tingling, noticeable weakness in grip, moderate functional impairment.

Mild incomplete paralysis of the median nerve (either hand). Symptoms include mild sensory disturbances, occasional numbness or tingling, minimal impact on hand function.
